The Greatest Role of My Life…
It amazes me the extent that what we do or say inspires others. I think of this every time I am approached by a fan who was inspired to greatness from a role I played in a movie. Some people call me a hero. I am so appreciative. And while that humbles me, there are others who are far more worthy of the title – people whose efforts change lives for the better.
Take, for example, Vicky Truelove of Hand in Hand International Adoptions (www.hihiadopt.org). Real heroes like her are everywhere who truly deserve the praise and are hardly recognized. She works small miracles to bring families together like mine. I have been called to play the most important role of my life as a parent to my adopted children and I have her to thank in so many ways.
My involvement in charities and causes bears all of this in mind. I am honored to participate in a variety of good works – and I strongly believe in paying it forward. So it is not uncommon to find me at a fundraiser raising awareness and supporting a cause I believe in. Simple Train, We Spark, and, Best Friends Animal Society are some other organizations that truly inspire me.
